DAMN FUCKING STRAIGHT.

Well, the molesting, not the feeding. Feeding is okay.

Though I hear some ducks like to be molested. That's not my thing, but nor is it my place to judge. So if it's consensual, you can molest them.

Higgs, the Little Boson That Could

Ducks all around the world travelled to hear the news from CERN yesterday - the Higgs Boson has finally been discovered.

However, the implications for duck kind are not yet clear. Many ducks hope that the particle will be unpredictable, in all the ways that make us love the weird and wonderful world of quantum physics. They hope it will be everything that those 'faster than light' neutrinos failed to be (don't feel bad CERN, we wanted it to be true too).

But so far the particle seems rather ordinary. It may not break physics as we know it at all.

Don't disappoint us, little Higgs Boson. We believe in you!

On the Rubber Duck

Rubber ducks will be capable, within twenty years, of doing any work that a duck can do.
Herbert Simon, 1965

 But they won't have souls.

 Will they know that?

Will they know they're not real ducks?

Or maybe they will be real. Maybe they will have souls. Maybe they'll be capable of love.

I don't know. And that scares me.
